I've never been huge into blush. I'm an eyeshadow fiend and once was on a quest to buy all the eyeshadow palettes on the market. It was a fools errand and I learned quickly I didn't need everything. I'm a sucker for a good lipstick and covet my Lipstick Queen Metallic Red. I've sampled a menagerie of foundations and played around with mascara all before finding The One. Blushes have just never excited me.
At least until now.
There is just something whimsical and ethereal about blown out blush. I'm in love with it and I enjoy getting the chance to play with different saturations of color. The way it frames the face and eyes. I used a Kryolan cream silver on the eyes and a metallic gold on the brows. I'm obsessed with the magic that his creates.
This was a fun little thing for a hair stylist friend of mine. She just kind of threw adjectives out at me and I knew what I was doing. It was a collaborative effort that I loved getting the chance to do. Also, I'm always amazed at how photographers are able to take someone to the most obscure and random place and somehow make art. I won't give away the location of these fun photographs just know I did a bang up job doing makeup and leave it at that.
